trolley ride to heaven

What a thrill to tour New York City, that little town where Bobby Darin first made his beautiful presence known to the world! We could not have been happier. The day was cool and slightly overcast. We took in all the sights, jumping on and off the trolley and snapping pictures so we would miss nothing. Bobby crooned to us in his deep, luscious tones as we made our way through the streets of New York.

At every light, the shameless among us leaned out the open windows of the trolley, yelling, "Do you know who Bobby Darin is?!"

Of course they did, and they cheered us on as we drove by! Bobby was very much in New York City that day, and our smiles were everywhere, too. It was a lovely day we will not soon forget.
